You know, everyone keeps saying that nowadays teenagers are lazy etc. but, you know, when I read the books about Neshka Robeva and the girls she trained in the 80s, I mean...they were not easy to motivate either. Lili Ignatova had a period where every week she declared she'd quit. She has admitted it in many interviews, too. Another gymnast, who was otherwise very disciplined, once ate 10 icecream cones one after the other, just to disobey the recommendations from the coach to lose weight....Iliana Raeva herself was notoriously difficult to motivate.

And then, when you look at the 90s, I have seen some very motivated gymnasts, like, you know, Teodora Alexandrova. I honestly have not seen anyone train with such focus as she did.

And if you look into the 21st century, there is Boyanka Angelova, who, of course, had an injury, you would know immediately that she works as hard as possible....So...

I guess my point is that, just because a gymnast is younger, doesn't necessarily mean she is lazy and unmotivated. True, in the 80s maybe they had fewer distractions, but, I am telling you, they found ways to sleep late, to not train as hard, and to do all kinds of stuff. Girls are girls. Smile

I am just speaking about the Bulgarians...from what I have seen and read...

It also looks like she may be studying psychology. Maybe she's going to school in Moscow?

Does anyone know for sure?
