I hope there isn't already a topic for the twins. Couldn't find one, but excuse me if I overlooked it..

I was just wondering if there is actually one of the twins that's clearly better than the other. To me they look kind of equal, but I don't know that much of the rules of RG and I was just wondering.

So are they mainly equal, or is there always one sister that scores a little bit better?

I haven't actually seen their scores and such, but in the few competitions I've watched them in it seems that Dina has slightly higher difficulty, but Arina is more consistent. I can't remember which competition I was looking at (it was a 2011), but Arina was solidly in 2nd place every time, whereas Dina was in various places within the top 5 for every event.

At the 2011 China/Russia Youth Games, Dina was top of the podium and Arina didn't medal, so that's also why I came to the conclusion that Dina has more difficulty. But when I'm watching them, I do notice Dina making lots of small mistakes, whereas when Arina makes a mistake, it's a big mistake.

I could be totally wrong though. I don't go through all of their results.

Yes, they have an older sister. From pictures, it looks like she is two to three years older. I don't think she does rg.

Yep, I think so. In Novogorsk, anyway.

Do they have their own trainer that came with them from somewhere else at Novogorsk?

Dina Averina won Silver at Olympic Games in Tokyo! Wink

Arina Averina landed on 4th place, after a big mistake in ribbon routine.
