Who is still competing for Germany as an individual?
Who are the group members at the moment?

Uhhhh...Karolina Raskina and Carolina Weber. They are the only ones I know but they are really successful.

Weber is from AUT Smile
Joanna Gabor, Daria Stolbin, Klaudia Wittman, Lisa Ingildeeva as senior I think.

This was how it was before WC: As there were - let's call it turbulences - after I wonder if they all decided to continue.

Well, I think that for Klaudia Wittmann it is/was the last year, cause she did A-level and she always told that Patras would be the highlight of her career (although she could not be participate there for the known reasons).

Same for Daria Stolbin, she is already 19 and did her A-level, so I think she will also stop. But who knows if she will continue.

So, there are Johanna Gabor, Karolina Raskina, Aleksandra Zapekina and Lisa Ingildeeva. Germany has no group anymore because they did not qualify for Bejing.

Oops, does this mean they all stopped? This is very unlucky. Olena Novitchkova only switched natonality for a 2 years career?!

As far as I know Germany still has a group but they are not supported with money anymore cause they did not make it to Beijing. That could be the reason for the girls to leave.
My guess is that Wittmann and Stolbin will retire. The tream will be composed of Gabor, Raskina, Zapekina and Ingildeeva I think.

Imo this is a pity. I mean, you can not expect in RG to train for a short time and then win something. I think if they will continue and trying higher level with same girls they can make London 2012. If they want to make 2012 they shouldn't start in 2010, but now.

I completely agree with you Janita. The girls who where in group changed very often and it was not possible to form a team in this short period.
However, I presume the federation will concentrate on younger girls in future and build up a new group with them step by step.

That's what the GER federation always tells, but there are so many leaving early there for no big success after 2000

AS far as I heard Klaudia Wittmann isn´t training anymore. Lisa Ingildeeva has big problems with school and my last information was that she thinks about retiring.

Stolbin will do one more year I think but not really in international events.

In my opinion we will see in 2008 for Germany in international events Johanna Gabor, Karolina Raskina und perhaps Alexandra Zapekina.

I also heard a new senior group should be building.

Any news about Anett Negare? I think she will turn senior as well in 2008.
