She is part bangladeshi. The surname Mamun is actually of bangladesh origin so it is not much of a stretch for her to compete for Bangladesh.

I'm a bit confused, does she compete for Russia now? Or is Viner planning on "shipping" her somewhere? xD

my questions is: why would Viner ship her back to Russia?

She competes for Russia in 2005, later, for BAN, and now when she turns senior, for Russia again.

With all the wonderful girls born in 1995 (Adel Galina, Bulycheva, even Tkachenko), why is she competing at a world cup?

And I don't think Russia lacks good gymnasts, when they clearly have sent three best juniors born in 1996 to the group instead of making them better individual gymnasts for next year's senior competition.

It's a really weird situation, representing Russia isn't always the best option for a gymnast, if she competes for BAN she probably will have more chances, unless there's something happening in the RUS team now, and suddenly all new seniors are not competing any more.

It`s only because Zaripova likes her and is her trainer now.
And Mamun competed for BAN when she trained in Moscow but in the other sport school.

could it be possible that Bangladesh isn't a strategic country for Viner?

Are you kidding? Zaripova her trainer? Zaripova can't make this sort of coreographies. These routines are just too nice.
Please, not Zaripova! I was already hoping to see soon another nice "old Russian style" gymnast. But if she trains with Zaripova that will be over soon Crying or Very sad

Zaripova has become her trainer not long ago. Her ball e.g. was composed in summer 2009, so it`s the "hand" of another trainer.

the question does have to be asked in the Leotard and Equipment section but you already did so.
Maybe you've got to check the Montreal topic @ Photo section Smile
