Amazing young junior gymnast from RUS.
Technically very strong, especially her pivots and balances-wow !
She has a very clean style and charm.
Wish her Good-Luck and hope to see her shine in the future.
See videos of her in the video section under "Delianue Cup". and be impressed as well.. Wink

Does she have the same coach of Ksenia Puzanova ? (something in her accurate pivots and balances reminds me of her..)

Alexandra Soldatova and Ekaterina Chukalina (other russian junior participared in Deleanu cup) are coached by Anna Shumilova - the coach of Dasha Kondakova Smile They perform pivots in the same manner Wink

I will continue the disicussion from Sinitsina's topic in the right place !.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjFVNRvt57k&feature=related
Amazing body elements in this clubs routine, watch 0-25!..and yes i noticed her low releve during the pivots,so before all Miteva's fans will start.. Wink i will just say that it didn't distrub me to enjoy this pivot ,and if this what it needs to perfrom triple pivots like this i can forgive her low releve...

She looks quite short and doesn't have the perfect body like Bravikova or Borisova so i doubt if she will be selected to the national team in Rus. when they have so many other talnted gymnasts long legs.
But here,in this forum, this is the voice of the fan point of view.. Wink
We all remember another Alexandrova -the famous Alexandrova from Bul who had her own special pivots,I'm quite sure that if she was born in Rus. there is no chance that we could watch her in big competition in the senior's level.
But i can tell you that in the W.C.in Osaka in 1999 she was the crowed's favourite, the crowed clapped her the most , more than to Kabeava and to Vitchenko !
So yes, there is the crowed's point of view that sometimes is different from the judging point of view or the coaching point of view .
The fan point of view who is looking for something different and special that will wake him up..

That's a pity that now "long legs" is a requirement in gymnastics. I honestly don't understand it. On Alexandrova, in addition to being short, she didn't have the back flexibility, oh well Sad I have met her personally and I have to say she is impressive on every level, including how focused she is during training.

By the way, thank you for your comment on my blogspot about Skaldina. Smile

Way are you so inclined about long or not so long legs? Beautifull legs have Uityasheva, Kapranova, Sesina, Solovieva but Olympic champions are Kabaeva with square siluet body and Kanaeva wit wery average legs and en pointe in terms of lines.
If you have long and beautiful lined legs, that might help, but not direct you to podium

News, videos and appearances of Alexandra Soldatova were frequent in 2012 and now suddenly in 2013 there is nothing! She was promise to be number 1 junior this year I thought and now she is never listed in any international meets at all, and I haven't even really seen her much in Russian youtube videos!

I hope she is ok, and still competing- that would be a really bad loss to the sport if she couldn't or won't continue. And I would feel terrible for Anna Shumilova too.

Soldatova also competed at the 2013 Spring Cup in Krasnoyarsk, March 29-31. Here's her ribbon routine, and I'm sure there are other videos out there with a little hunting.
She finished second behind Sinitsina: results from the Spring Cup. It seems like they're pushing Bravikova for international assignment?
