I only know that the Difficulty score could become open-extended. It's written on an article on FIG website: http://www.fig-gymnastics.com/site/figNews/view?id=1307
I think it would be a very interesting change! Very Happy

Wow, next year group 3+2 excercise will be 3 balls and 2 ropes!
I thought we would never see ropes in senior anymore.

The ropes can be hard to see from the spectator viewpoint. It's okay if you're on the edge of the carpet.
The rope was interesting for encouraging more jumping elements and I see it's good to keep the groups interested, but I don't see it as great for broadcasts. Was not so keen on 10 clubs either and that was responsible for the only blood I've seen so far in RG. Balls + Ribbons is entertaining however. I seem to remember a team losing a ball, two gymnasts went to collect another one, saw they had one too many and then they threw them both away Wink
Will FIG change the apparatus again before the next Olympics?

Looks like you'll be able to have two routines with words.

Italy, St. Petersburg World Cup 2013 (at 2:22) Wink.

I'm still waiting for clubs/ropes (or clubs/ribbon for all I care), as I want to see judges wearing helmets as a safety measure for when hammerthrows are going wrong Wink.

When did the FIG recalled the group apparatuses? I mean, do we have a screenshot of an initial planning that later changed?

I am reading parts of the RG COP as I want to understand how the scores will be given in the new cycle. While a lot of things are quite understandible when you are used to rading rules of judged sports I am not sure what "The second subgroup of D- Panel Judges (D3 and D4)
records the content of the exercise in
symbol notation:

For Individual:
evaluates the number and technical value of Dynamic elements with Rotation
(
R
) and the Apparatus Difficulty (
AD
)

Means practically. Are the so called Dynamica elements with Rotation elements like walkovers etc. or do they also refer to pivots?

It does not in the current version "The Final D- score
will be the sum of the two partial D-scores: 10.00 points maximum"

I don't know, I can only read section 5.1. If they allow rolling on the floor, then why not walkovers. Better get a move on though since there have to be 2. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
5.1 also mentions "around any axis". Could be the anteroposterior axis (for Anatomy fans. Somehow I doubt this term made its way to scoresheets).
