Hi,
I cannot find a topic about the participants in the EC (just a long discussion about the location). I'm curious to hear who's going to participate! I hope everyone can post information when it is available from the federations.
NORWAY:
It is decided that Norway will send a junior team! The names of the gymnasts haven't been announced yet, but there are five girls who have been consistently in the top: Anette Nilsson Lindahl, Marte Dobbertin Gram, Marie Ravneng, Mina Finnerud, Frida Parnas. |

I understood that on 10 juin the federation of Belgium was going to decide who they will send, but still nothing has been said on the site (since a long time they forget to update the section of RG). and since i don't live in belgium for the moment (finally i'm going back sunday) it's difficult to have information. If we watch the results from nationals probably it'll be Catherine Gérontitis and Amber Heydens.
I have a question: how many junior gymnast can a country send maximum? |

For the Netherlands, only Linda de Geus will go, and I have heard that she will only do two routines....... weird |

there will be top seniors from European Championship 2005 in Moscow.
from Ukraine - Bessonova, Godunko senior gymnasts
group gymnasts : Inga Kozhohina, Irina Kovalchuk, Anastasia Bich, Vera Perederiy, Polina Kandaurova, Vita Zubchenko (if nothing changes)
junior gymnasts : it is not yet decided, nominative registration is 31 august, so we'll decide on 30th but most likely candidates are Marina Boyko, Daria Kushnerova and Alina Maksimenko. _________________ Ridentem dicere verum quid vetat

Correct Janita.
Still this year a selection of seniors will be put together to prepare for World Championships in 2007.

Does this mean, that there will be no official EC for seniors this year? |

This means that Belgium is sending this year only a junior team.
A selection of Belgian seniors will try to qualify for next years WC

Last EC, the format was:
Junior groups
Senior individual team and apparatus finals
This year, the rest of the competitions will take place:
Junior individual team and apparatus finals
Senior groups
Senior AA (only those countries who qualified at the last EC may participate)
Notice that there is no junior AA competition. |
