Read on her website www.annapobokova.com this morning

Spijkenisse- NL, January 9, 2007

On the way home, after her training exercise with her club O&O Zwijndrecht (near Rotterdam), Anna Pobokova has been badly wounded when she, riding on her bike, collided with a car. With head injuries, she was first taken to a local hospital in Bergen Op Zoom, where Anna Pobokova lives. Around midnight she has been urgently taken to the St. Elisabeth Hospital in Tilburg, with more facilities. After a year absence due to her back-injury (April 2004-2006), last year May, she became vice-national champion of the Netherlands. In 2003 and 2004 she reached the national title. Just next weekend Anna Pobokova would have her international season opening in a competition in Verviers, Belgium.

Anna Pobokova is in St. Elisabeth Hospital, P.O box 90151, 5000 LC Tilburg - The Netherlands

I hope she'll recover fully and very soon. This is not just a question of RSG, it's a matter of life!!!

I think she's been very unlucky and she deserves much more than she had up to now, so I encourage you all RSG fan to send her a letter wishing her a quick recovery...

I really wish it.

Gymnaste Pobokova gewond na aanrijding

Uitgegeven: 9 januari 2007 13:17
Laatst gewijzigd: 9 januari 2007 13:25

Again bad luck for her Sad.

From what I've heard from my sis, beside a heavy concussion, she has 5 fractures in her skull, a small bleeding in her brains and a broken eye hole.
And coming to think I see her every week on the railway station and in the train here (and with my sis)

what a tragedy for not only a rhythmic gymnast but for someone who is so young and active Crying or Very sad
if her comeback from her back injury has taught us nothing else it tells us she is a very strong-willed and determined person, so we know how hard she will be fighting for recovery
my thoughts are for her family and her gym club Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
