I don't know exactly where it was posted because even if it was breaking news, the person who posted it didn't want to open a new topic because of all the 'use an old topic' demands, so he/she used one that didn't even match the info... So now it's quite difficult to relocate this post. I do, however, believe she used duiretics, and is banned for one year, but my memory could be failing me here. The test was made in universiade 2006 so she was robbed of all her medals there.

I wrote it in the topic about " Current gymnasts with viner" or somethning similar, cause had been said by a member of the italian forum, who were hosting a russian gymnast.
I don't know nothing more sorry.. I wrote only that "had been REPORTED" this news to me... (so could be true or false)
Of course I can't write the name of the russian gymnast cause has been asked privacy to me
So is it true? I haven't heard anything else from that day..

i have read in one article in gymmedia.com that anastasia guseva has been suspended for taking furosemida, she lost her medal and she will lose the world championship in patras. although in my opinion auntie viner isn´t going to take her to the world championship.

Russian gymnast banned for doping

MOUTIER, Switzerland -- Russian gymnast Anastasia Guseva
will miss the Beijing Olympics after being banned until November
for testing positive for a banned diuretic that can be used to mask
steroids.

Guseva will miss the Sept. 19-23 rhythmic world championships in
Patras, Greece, the International Gymnastics Federation said Monday
in a statement. It's a qualifying event for next year's Olympic
Games in China.

She tested positive for the diuretic, furosemide, at the
rhythmic events of the 2006 World Gymnasiade in Athens last June.

The Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics banned Guseva for
one year in November 2006.

"FIG has taken note of these decisions, in accordance with its
own rules and in support of the fight against doping," the sport's
world governing body said.

They make it sound as if Viner would actually have given her the chance to go to Patras if she wasn't banned. Ha!
