What do you think who will be the German juniors for EC 2008?
I Know that there are in preperation:
Sara Radman, Camilla Pfeffer, Julia Nickel, Rosa-Maria Gerwik, Laura Jung, Lena Rübke und Christina Graf
I guess:
Camilla - she was great in Calais and Schmiden (perhaps Rope or Ball)
Julia - she was not good in Schmiden but I think she will make it (Hoop)
Sara - she was injured but is now fit again (Rope or ribbon)
Lena - really like her style and she is stabile (Hard to decide, I like all)
Also like Laura Jung very much, but she is born in 1995, probally EC 2010 will be hers. |

Sara Radman, Camilla Pfeffer, Rosa-Maria Gerwik and Laura Jung are training in Schmiden where Galina Krylenko is one couch, but I do not know of she trains the juniors....
My guess:
Sara Radman (2 routines) I think think she is by far the strongest gymnast now
Camilla Pfeffer (1 routine)
Lena Rübke (1 routine)
I like the style of Julia Nickel, but the results of this year were not that good and she is/was injured....so I do not think she will go
I also liked Laura Jung the last year but I did not see any routines of her yet....also Rosa-Maria Gerwik (I think she was injured last year?)
When is the decision who will be selected? |

The coach for the German junior team is Elena Khardatsev. But they are only training alltogether during courses, normally they train at their home clubs:
Camilla Pfeffer, Sara Radman, Rosa Maria Gerwik und Laura Jung are training in Schmiden by Khardatsev.
Lena Rübke is from Bremen, where Larissa Drygala is the head coach but I dont know who is her personal coach.
Julia Nickel and Christina Graf are training in Halle by Claudia Marx, who also was the trainer of the last German junior group (with these two girls)
Heard that the competion in Halle this weekend will be the second qualification (after schmiden) and the decision will lately be in April. |

for junior the maximum is 4 (one for each apparates). The minimum is two (as belgium will do). If you send only one gymnast, she can do only two apparates ... |

The international tournament of Halle was after schmiden the second qualification.
Here are the results:
1. Diana Makhanova RUS 92,183
2. Anna Epifanova RUS 91,917
3. Anastasia Kisse BUL 88,375
4. Camilla Pfeffer GER 87,017
5. Laura Jung GER/Schmiden 83,125
6. Nataly Hamrikova CZE 82,658
7. Rosa Gerwick GER/Schmiden 79,800
8. Ludmilla Semelova CZE 79,767
9. Christina Graf GER/Halle 79,217
10. Lena Rübke GER/Bremen 79,175
So I think Camilla Pfeffer should have made it, because she was the best twice. But about the others? Very difficult, because Sara Radman and Julia Nickel are injured.

On the homepage of DTB (German Gymnastic Organisation) it is said that Julia Nickel and Sara Radman are competing in Portimao because it is the same modus than in EC and they are the best German juniors although they have been injured.
I am not really sure about. Camilla Pfeffer won both qualifications and did nice competitions these year.
So what do you think wont we see Camilla in Turin? |

There is no official information yet. But at 31.5/1.6. are German Championships and I saw the starting right now.
Sara Radmman and Camilla Pfeffer are not on the list but all others of the candidates. So I think, these both will start in Turin and therefore not competing at German Championships at Schmiden, their homeclub. But that is only my thought. |
