There have never been any sign or record of her as gymnast so I think she has never been one.

She was one. Former national team head coach Elvira Averkovich talked about Viner as a gymnast in her book. She said Viner was like her current gymnasts, not very good apparatus work but good body work.

Thank you I didn't know she has been a gymnast!

Beside, Muffins & Youandi, It's likely to suppose Viner had the right body to do RG and to wear a leo when she was young, AND I don't think the leo at her time, were "sparkling" at all. If you see the 70's, 80's gymnasts, they wore plain leos mostly monochromatic.
Confused

I'm very curious to see what Viner looked like as a teenage girl alone, besides even as a rhythmic gymnast. For some reason, I have a very hard time picturing it.

Thats true Storm, but you see, nowadays her body isn't a "RG-type" of body any more.
And its hard (to me definatly) to see her as a young thin woman (not trying to offense Viner)

If you want a like-looking example, took Maria Gigova NOW and when she was a gymnast and there you go. And remember that 20 and more years ago, the gymnasts weren't supposed to be skinny, to do RG.
Plus, aging isn't avoidable.
