Who coaches which gymnasts in the top 4-5 gymnasts in Finland. It seems perhaps that they switch around, or is there commorodory? |

I don't want to guess exactly who coaches who, but I am quite sure that they do not switch around. Maria Ringinen, Marleena Saresvirta, Suvi Lax and Silja Ahonen all come from different teams.
I don't know if some of the younger girls, like Alisa Halinen and Janica Wuolle, have managed to move into top positions during the last year. Perhaps someone can post an updated ranking of the Finnish gymnasts? |

I want to add one question - Sanni and Marleena Saresvirta - they are sisters? |

Hi,
I think Maria Ringinen and Alisa Halinen are coached by Laura Tapanainen.
Julia Huuhtanen is from the same team (Elannon Isku) but I'm not sure if she trains with Tapanainen as well.
According to their website Laura Tapanainen, Larisa Gryadunova and Anna Airaksinen coach the group (=Jasmiina Salovaara, Nina Hanhela, Janette Salovaara, Riina Määttä, Alisa Halinen).
Silja Ahonen (Hämeenlinnan Voimisteluseura) is coached by Emma Kurki and Marleena Saresvirta (and so was Sanni) by Iiris Rif and Aleksandra Mavrakis.

I hope this helps! |

I'm really surprised that Sanni Saresvirta has now retired. She is still very young. Does she retired for special reasons? Is there anyone who knows more? |

Julia Huuhtanen lives now in Russia and trains with Elena Karpushenko. But she still represents Finland and Larissa Gryadunova makes her routines.
Maria Ringinen and the Finnish group are coached by Laura Tapanainen (she's one of my coaches as well) and Anna Airaksinen and Terhi Toivonen. Alisa Halinen is in the group but she also copetes induvidually and her coaches are Laura Tapanainen and Anna Airaksinen.
Silja Ahonen's coach is Emma Kurki.
Suvi Lax, Sanni Saresvirta and Janica Wuolle have all retired.
Other good juniors are Diana Hietapakka, trained by Larissa Gryadunova. And Julia Romanjuk, who will be a junior next year. She trains with Larissa too.
And Marleena Saresvirta's coaches are Irina Jushina and Iris RIf. |

Is Inessa Rif Iiris Rif's daughter?
And is Marleena training in Russia with Ermakova, Nikitina and Huuthanen (with Karpushenko), or is she only there occasionally? _________________ And those who danced were thought to be quite insane by those who could not hear the music |

I was told that she is half Russian and her home country is actually rather RUS then FIN and now I read that she is currently training in RUS. Does that mean she usualy lives and trains in FIN? _________________ RG is the true reason to go on in my life! |
