Sorry for this french passage

The Internationals of Thiais > The edition 2006 The 2006, 20th anniversary edition, a real festival!
The world stars of Rhythmic Gymnastic will be in France on 25 and 26 March 2006 for the 20th Internationals of Thiais. The gymnasts Seniors, individual and groups of more than 25 countries will take part.

The public, faithful to this grand major international sporting calendar will find in Thiais the best nations: Russia, Byelorussia, Ukrainia, Bulgaria, Italy, Greece and France with its new group.

Exceptional guests of this 20 th anniversary
The 2005 world champion, Olga Kapranova (Russia), the second and the third, Irina Tchachina (Russia) and Anna Bessonova (Ukrainia), will meet Teodora Alexandrova (Bulgaria), Olga Gontar (Bulgaria) et Alina Kabaeva (Russia), four gymnasts who have marked the Rhythmic Gymnastic these last 20 years.

The only competition in France for the groups and the individual gymnasts
Since their creation in 1987, "The Internationals of Thiais" have welcomed the elite of this discipline (World and Olympics champions) groups as well as individual gymnasts.
Thiais is the only competition in France which makes it possible to admire, in the same weekend, the exhibitions of the groups and those of the individual gymnasts.
The presence of the confirmed champions and the constant participation of the best hopes, right before their rise on the highest steps of the podium, made the reputation of these Internationals.

20 years of uninterrupted success
The confirmed success year after year, of "The Internationals of Thiais", is a reward for the city and the organizing club Thiais G.R.S which created together, 20 years ago, this original competition.
Thiais G.R.S club, leader of the discipline, and the C.R.E.F ( Regional Center of Training and Teaching), are directed by Diana Tabakova (European champion in 1980 and world champion in 1981).

The competitions
The competitions of the Internationals ones of Thiais join together two competitions.
The "Seniors" groups
"The Grand Prize"

The "Seniors" groups
The competition begins Saturday afternoon by the General Competition from the groups. Each team presents its program made up of two sequences: 5 ribbons and
3 hoops / 4 clubs.

The 8 best groups are qualified for the finals on Sunday afternoon.
The gymnasts composing those "Seniors" groups were born in 1990 and before.

The Grand Prize
The Grand Prize is a circuit of competitions which joins together best worldwide gymnasts according to the classification obtained by apparatus (ranking list).
After Moscow and Kiev and before Bourgas, Thiais is the 3rd, and single stage in France, of this circuit which counts 9 of them. It will be completed in Berlin in October 2006.

The competition begins Saturday in the evening by the qualifications for the Grand Prize (Open Competition of individuals). The gymnasts present the exercises according to the following program:
Rope
Balloon
Clubs
Ribbon

Just like for the groups, the prize list of the Open Competition is determined by the addition of the notes, obtained after each passage.

Only the first 8 gymnasts by apparatus will take part -Sunday afternoon- at the Grand Prize.

The gymnasts taking part at the Grand Prize were born in 1990 and before. They are classified from the 1st and the 12 th place on the Ranking List 2006 or are national champions of invited countries.

Challenge of the town of Thiais
The challenge of Thiais is won by the team which wins the most points at the end of the general competition of groups and the finals "groups" by apparatus.

Challenge of the Public
The Challenge of the public is won by the gymnast who gains the greatest number of votes in the survey carried out with the public at "the animation" stand.
