Watching top gymnastics today, I would prefer a little bit messy but interesting over clean but boring. Messiness can always be improved and I'm sure Kondakova will manage to do it by OG. At least I hope so. I would really like to see her taking over the throne _________________ http://www.hot.ee/rhythmicgymnastics/ |

Sooo beatifull routine, classical, elegant and complicated. She needs clean her movements, but it is a great routine. Better than Kondakova Dmitrieva and Merkulova. |

Before 2011, she used to have simply choreographed routines that looked good no matter what her performance was, but their aesthetic potential was limited too. It was in the latest competitions in the year that she would perform them beautifully (hoop 2009 Berlin Masters, anyone? I can never find that video anymore), but you had to watch all her performances together to notice her differences. That's the approach used by most gymnasts; whether they perform beautifully or not won't get them medals, so there's no point in starting with a choreo that's complicated anyway.
I am happy to see her choreographies become more complex. It means it will take a lot more effort from her to make them look good, but when they look good they will be the best. I hope that the pressure during the OGs won't get her to perform just for the medal, because these routines aren't suited for that.

Exactly. The problem is not the speed itself. I mean, who didn't love Godunko? That girl could speed through anything. But Kondakova makes it look like a splatterfest, which sucks because she's an actually damn good gymnast. I wonder how much better her routines would be if they hadn't got fixated on the 'make her run' idea. |

I'm with you too I like her hoop routine a lot (not her ball though). I'm tired of kondakova speed, she kills any sign of execution and well doing with that speed. Girl, the faster does not mean the better.
First of all she should try to do a single pivot on relevé, she can learn from the juniors of the team who are much better than her in almost every ways. |

we´ll have many gymnasts like the Darias in the years to come but as usual there will always be one Russian jewel that will blow our minds Let´s just hope the good ones won´t be left on the road due to someone´s interest. _________________ ♥Staniouta, Halkina, Kudryavtseva, Pazhava ♥

I'd be happy and satisfied just with the fact that the averinas, svatkovskaya, kudryavtseva, trubnikova, etc will make the future russian team! |

I find Trubnikova rather promising. She was great both as an individual and group gymnast. |
