Great, Thanks !
You really put the highlights of this W.C.-
The outstanding routine from the ind.'s competitions-Kondakova's hoop(EF).
The outstanding routine from the group's competitions-Bul's 5 hoops from the AA(especially because of the end).
The great performance of Maximenko in this W.C.
The happiest faces in this W.C. belong to Kaneava and Stanuita in the end of the AA.
The comeback of Goudenko.
Dimitrieva's confident performance in the ball and ribbon finals+I.Viner's reaction.
The surprised poduim of the groups competition (AA)-with the impressive victory of Italy and the saddest faces of the group from Rus.
And of course other emotional moments ... |

Just found out right now and wanted to let everyone know that if they have Universal Sports at home they will show the 2010 Rhythmic World Championships on television. I will post the east coast schedule. If anyone could record it that would be great.
WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 20
5PM-6PM
Still checking for more listings... |

Watched the American coverage, sorry I couldn’t record it for you guys. Although to be honest the coverage was not impressive. I searched for future tv listings and I couldn’t find any. Universal Sports is busy showing artistic gymnastics Worlds and grand prix of Figure Skating so they don’t care much for rhythmic right now.
They only showed the Individual AA of Moscow Worlds and only a couple of routines - 1 hour ..so like 40 minutes with commercials. The commentator was that guy from the BBC I don’t know his name.
First they showed Kondakova ribbon, Kanaeva ribbon... feed problems. I missed like 10 to 20 seconds of each routine.
Then Maksimenko hoop & I love this routine… Staniouta rope. ..more feed problems. The BBC guy said that she was 16 years old. I thought she was 17.
Next Garaeva ball … feed problems Then Miteva’s beautiful ball . YES. NO FEED PROBLEMS! BBC guy said something about her dad was in artistic gymnastics.
Then Mitrosz rope… OK don’t want to be mean but why couldn’t the feed go out during her routine. Come on, the few routines they do show why couldn’t they instead show Maksimenko or Kondakova rope. Really I can’t understand how she qualified for Group A.
Then Staniouta hoop - BBC guy says she was 15 at 2009 Mie Worlds… again I thought she was 16
Then Garaeva ribbon, Kondakova hoop & Kanaeva hoop - love these 2 routines.
Next Maksimenko ribbon - BBC guy loved the choreography and I have to agree.. it was so cute he was laughing
Next Staniouta ball & Garaeva rope - BBC guy says this is not her favorite apparatus and her weakest piece. I’m glad Staniouta got bronze.
Finally Kondakova ball, Kanaeva ball and some medal ceremony.
Overall coverage not good. Very few routines. The commentary was … so-so. When will we get decent coverage in the America?
The final insult after showing 1 hour of rhythmic gymnastics they show 2 hours of Cycling. Really? Boring cycling. |
