Dmitrieva got the worst & the best place, the last gymnast to play in Ribbon!
It is the worst in a sense of highest pressure to hold till the end.
It is the best in a sense of ....well with the most protection. It is a real stress test of Vinerstan LIVE accurate calculation, not to make wrong OG champion. |

What a "coincidence"...Dimitrieva-last with ribbon.Viner wants to make sure they have 1st and 2nd place.I am done watching.
Honestly, I am looking for the day when Viner would be gone from the sport...hope I'll be alive to see it. |

Can you imagine if Dmitrieva takes Gold? It will be a slap in Viner's face! "Take that for even thinking about Merkulova as nº 2!" |

can anyone explain to me how do they draw the start list?
if you notice the gymnasts are grouped in blocks:
miteva+charkashina
rivkin+kanaeva+mitroz+dimitrieva
Maksimeko+ Garaeva+ Rizardinova
and they are mixed around. is there a reason for that? _________________ USE the same topics to ask, even if the links there are DEAD!

I haven't had chance to read ALL the posts since the RG started (I've been living in Wembley Arena, I'm fortunate enough to watch the entire RG program here at the Olympic Games) But I've seen a lot of criticism and negativity surrounding the scoring...
I'll miss Staniouta and I'm surprised she didn't qualify but IMO, other than Garaeva's, the scores have been spot on! The judges have taken the slightest mistakes into consideration - Rizatdinova's Hoop routine wasn't as perfect as everyone's claiming. She really struggled in the first couple of rotations on her first Pivot, and it showed in her D Value. It's the same as Maksymenko's Ribbon, her D1 Value was 9.300, but her D2 was smashed because she missed her 1st Risk. Simple.
I'm impressed with the scoring, I know today will be interesting because the Gymnasts know they really have to be on their 'A game' (Just look at Kanaeva's Hoop on Thursday)
I hope everyone enjoys the competition, I have an amazing view _________________ Anna's The Real Olympic Champion! |

I doubt Viner has anything to do with this draw.
I think the first rotation was just random, while in the second rotation every gymnast is in the same position as in the first rotation -2 positions. I try to explain it better: Rizatdinova is 7th in the first rotation, so in the second one she is in 7-2=5th position; Charkashyna is 1st in the first rotation, so in the second she is in 1-2=3 --> 9th position.
And for the other rotations you keep subtracting 2 to the previous rotation. |

I was kind of joking....It just somehow most of the times happens to be in favour of Viner ...so something to think about. |

I know in other sports, going last can be pressure filled, but it can also be helpful knowing what you have to do to beat the person ahead of you. I hope Dmitrieva takes gold, but it depends on her clubs performance...no fumbles Daria! And by saying that I hope I don't jinx her lol |
