Olga Kapranova, a 2005 world champion.
Grazia: How did you find yourself involved into rhythmics?
OK: My sister used to do the ballet, and mom wouldn’t let me stay home alone. Once we were waiting for a bus at the bus stop and a woman came to us asking if my sister wanted to try herself as a gymnast. But mom told her to take us both. I was 7.
Grazia: Did you like it?
OK: I just came to the gym, played the whole year. I liked it, ‘cause the gym room was huge and I could do everything I wanted. Only 5 years later I realised it could be my profession.
Grazia: What are you good at?
OK: I’m good at flexibility. A back balance pivot.
Grazia: Study?
OK: I’m a student of the Russian state social university? A psychologist. It is just because I want to look into myself and ppl around. But now I’m totally into rhythmics. When this period is over, I shall do anything else.
Grazia: Can you say you give up something for sports sake?
OK: I do, I don’t see my parents, live in the training centre, but I want to. I can’t do without rg.
Grazia: If you were offered a wedding ring or a medal what would you choose?
OK: I think, a medal. If we had a will to get married, we would date anybody not train.
Grazia: What do you want most?
OK: To sleep. Teribly want to sleep!

Eugene Kanaeva (too many titles are listed:-)
Grazia: How did you find yourself involved into rhythmics?
EK: My mom was a gymnast. My granny led me to the gym, and then I became a membe of a national team and moved from Omsk to Moscou.
Grazia: What notes first did you hear from trainers?
EK: I raised my shoulders and did not point my feet.
Grazia: Can you imagine future without rg? Modelling?
EK: Modelling?!
Grazia: To yous mind what is the highlight of a carreer?
EK: My favourite profession. To show everything I can to make a pleasure to the trainers and viewers.
Grazia: what do you do for a rest exept rg?
EK: We don’t relax much. After EC’08 I came to Omsk and passed my exams (she is a student of the physical academy in Omsk). Had too little time.
Grazia: Which music do you prefer?
EK: I love Kristina Orbakaite (a russian pop-singer). Her songs are good. I listen to the russian music, but get tired too soon.
Grazia: Have you a spare minute to read?
EK: Depends, sometimes we buy literature, sometimes borrow from each other. I loved “Doctor Jivago” (Pasternak), “12 Chairs” (Ilf and Petrov).
Grazia: If you were offered a wedding ring or a medal what would you choose?
EK: Now I’m doing my job, so I would rather prefer to have a medal.

The 2nd part Sessina - Solovieva later. Very Happy

This is the dumbest question I've ever heard. Shocked What, like a girl's greatest ambition should just be to get married? A question like this would never fly in the US. I'm so glad that they both answered medal!
